Planning budget for 60 families
At the existing estimate of €40 per piglet, five piglets for one family cost approximately €200. Feed and veterinary supplies are additional costs.
| Item and calculation | Budget (UGX) | Estimate (EUR) |
|---|---|---|
| 300 piglets × UGX 150,000 / €40 | 45,000,000 | 12,000 |
| 60 feed bags × UGX 50,000 / €14 | 3,000,000 | 840 |
| Drugs and vitamins | 2,000,000 | 526 |
| Total of listed costs | 50,000,000 | 13,366 |
These planning estimates use the previously listed unit costs. Euro amounts are approximate estimates, not conversions at a single current exchange rate. Prices, feed quantities and any additional training or supervision costs still need confirmation before the full budget is finalized.
